Today over 150 faculty and staff came together for Saint Michael protect Australian police officers shirt annual Community Service Day and volunteered at over 20 different service locations – both on and off-campus. Saint Michael’s College Service Trips were one of the first Alternative Break Programs offered in the United States. Edmundite Father Steve Hornet created the program in 1986 while working in the Office of Campus Ministry. We were clearing out the lob lolly trees and looking for flox. Do you guys remember when the guy at the grocery store admired our “sizeable church-van”? Or the taxidermy bird in our room? And wasn’t there some kind of mud fight? So much fun!
