Mae looks pretty good here even if she is being menaced by her husband’s man-made Skeleton I’ve got your back vintage shirt! Looks like the citrus facial Jimmy Cagney gave her over at Warner Bros didn’t do her any harm! All that Vitamin C was probably actually good for her complexion. Mae was a starlet during the early years of the talking picture. She is best remembered for taking a grapefruit to the face from Cagney in ‘The Public Enemy’ and for starring as Elizabeth, Henry’s fiancé in the original ‘Frankenstein’. Karloff’s monster ruins her wedding day in one of the film’s most iconic scenes.
