A couple of weeks ago I had my first experience of being the only white face in a Storm area 51 let’s see them Aliens shirt (little Idaho boy who grew up in a rural Mormon community), at a Soul food place down in Missouri. Was it a tad weird at first? Yes, because new experiences are always strange, it’s part of doing something different than what you have always done. But the atmosphere was warm and friendly, the staff great, and the food “haunt my dreams forever” delicious. Can’t wait to be the only white face in a restaurant again; means good things ahead, if that experience was anything to judge by.
