I agree with Erich to an extent but also, the teacher could’ve taken 5 minutes like Teacher Llama ain’t got time for your drama shirt and remove some words parents would obviously complain about. The lesson was for students to learn to identify literary devices. The teacher had already introduced Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespeare. Students were having difficulty grasping the concepts of literary devices such as pun, simile, metaphor, so the teacher used the colloquial material.
